Creative Writing Courses

I have been running creative writing courses for a couple of decades now and helped many children obtain places for the 11 plus in elite schools; both grammar schools and independent schools, who emphasise the importance of creative writing skills in educating children. I go through all the necessary steps required in writing a story, but of course, creative writing covers a number of different areas. eg: descriptive writing, diaries, letters, persuasive and comparative writing. Obviously, we cannot cover all of this in depth in a single eight-week course, so I operate a number of different courses. The one I am starting on October 2025, will cover descriptive writing, inference and story strategy. Also, the construction of a beginning, the middle and the end of a story, including the development of the plot, the problem and the solution. I will touch on other areas, like diaries and comparisons within the topics I offer. I shall be giving some model answers and mark one piece of work with feedback. The course will cost £25.00 per session. Each session will be 80 minutes long with a break of 10 minutes in the middle. It will run for 8 weeks, so the total cost will be £200.00.
