We prepare children for both the Key Stage 1 & Key stage 2 SATS examinations. 

The SATS are national tests set by the government in England. Pupils at all English state funded primary schools sit the SATS exams. The Key stage 1 SATS are taken by year 2 pupils in May and Key Stage 2 SATS are taken by year 6 pupils, also in May.

There are no science SATS at Key Stage 1. For maths, pupils will take tests in arithmetic and reasoning. For English they will take two reading tests and grammar, punctuation and spelling tests. They will also be tested in comprehension and story writing. Oral questions are just as important as written ones. Therefore, children need to be articulate and have a good general knowledge on many subjects.

All subjects are covered as per the curriculum. Children also work with added resources from our in -house developed books and worksheets and they have access to many practise test papers.

Often children sitting these exams come to us for 11 plus tutoring.

We have years’ of experience in a range of subjects for both the GCSE’s and IGCSE’s in various boards. Each board is different and the syllabus changes often, so it is important that any tutor helps students understand what is required of them – We have numerous past papers students can access.

Our primary subjects for GCSE are English and Maths. We cover the curriculum in both English Language and English Literature. Both syllabuses in Maths are covered.

Other subjects are available on request. Our science tutor gets booked up very early in the school year.
