Verbal Reasoning

This is part of our English lessons . Whole sessions to cover reasoning subjects can be booked separately and may be taught by more than one tutor.

Verbal reasoning is understanding and reasoning using concepts framed in words. It aims at evaluating ability to think constructively, rather than at simple fluency or vocabulary recognition.

We cover the concepts through lessons and also have many practice papers.

Non-Verbal Reasoning

This is part of our Maths lessons . Whole sessions to cover Non -Verbal Reasoning topics can be booked separately and may be taught by more than one tutor.

The tutor will go over a variety of different question types helping students to spot patterns, use logic and understand elimination techniques and problem solving.

They are taught to recognise question types and learn techniques that will help them to perform efficiently and accurately in these types of exam.

Test papers and revision papers are available for practise.

Numerical Reasoning

These are part of our Maths lessons. Whole sessions to cover reasoning subjects can be booked separately and may be taught by more than one tutor.

Numerical reasoning is now a very important part of the exam as is logical thinking and  IQ development. Mathematics and arithmetic are still important  but as inference has become an important part of comprehensions , comprehending English is now extremely important in numeracy too. The examiners want to see that children can work through English instructions related to mathematical problems.

In a numerical reasoning test, you are required to answer questions using facts and figures presented in statistical tables. In each question you are usually given a number of options to choose from. Only one of the options is correct in each case.  We have many test papers for students.

Creative Writing

Our Lead tutor Elisa Gianoncelli is a published author. Her first book for 9 to 12 year olds, “Tredicino & the Medallion Keeper” was published in February 2021 available on Amazon and all good bookshops. She teaches creative writing as an art.

We know and value the importance of learning creative writing. Children become confident when faced with what used to be the daunting terror of a blank page. Good planning is taught through mind-mapping and story planning diagrams.

Creative writing includes writing for pleasure as well as writing to ace exams and tests.  Students learn in a fun and creative way.

Creative writing is taught to all age groups as part of their English tuition.
