A lot of parents are going to be celebrating in September and some will not, its a hard reality of life. Some children will get through to round two and some will not.
The competition is fierce and getting more and more so as the population increases.
Some parents can pay for independent schools, and some can't. That again is a hard reality, so where do your children go if they don't get into grammar school and you can't pay for independent school.
Depending on your income you could apply for a bursary or consider local comprehensives high on the league tables.
Some comprehensive offer amazing facilities and work particularly well when they group children to their ability. If you work with your child to get them good SATS results your child could find themselves in the top group with like minded literary beings who will excel in the correct surroundings.
This school may not compare statistically with HBS, QE BOYS or Tiffins but it may be just right for your child.
Parents , do not be too disappointed if your 11+ journey was not successful as this is not the end you can still support your child emotionally and academically in a way that suits them. The most important thing is for parents not to blame themselves you have undergone a lot of pressure meeting the deadlines, helping with revision but this outcome might be just as good. Your child can do just as well as the children who passed with the correct support and encouragement.
Ring me on 07956868119 for a no obligation chat if you are feeling stuck and disappointed and do not know the best way forwards. Your child can achieve Grade nine's in their GCSE's wherever they are.
An assessment with me will tell you where your child is at and where their weaknesses are ensuring they are the best prepared they can be for their secondary school journey.
Best wishes
