Having taught children at my private tuition school for over 26 years I have seen and experienced and taught almost all levels of children including those with learning difficulties and physical disabilities.

Patience and adapting our teaching methods has been forth and foremost in our teaching environment. When planning for individual progress to be made we have taken all aspects of the child's development into consideration; intellectual, emotional, physical and social.

This brings me to an article from 2016 which I remember seeing which will always stay with me.

A little 7-year old girl, Anaya Ellick, with no hands, won an international writing competition and I remember feeling so overwhelmed at the determination of this child. It also reminded me that we, as adults, must never give up on any child. ALL children have the ability and the determination to see things through as well as the resilience to keep going. We must encourage and foster a life-long habit of not only learning in them but a "can do" attitude.
